IMEI Number Of your mobile

This is with reference to IMEI numbers of certain cell numbers which are not registered with us, we would like to convey the below mentioned details to you.
Each GSM handset has a unique code called IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) which is imprinted by the handset manufacturer & controlled by the GSM authority. As per the recent directive from Government of India, handsets with non-genuine IMEIs will be restricted on all networks by 30th November 2009.
You can check your handset IMEI number by dialing *#06#. A 15 digit IMEI number will be displayed on your handset.
Further, we request you to validate the IMEI number of your handset by sending the following SMS:
IMEI <15> to 53232 (Rs 3 / SMS)
For e.g., IMEI 351869910223340 to 53232
Message displayed for correct IMEI – Success!!
Message displayed for incorrect IMEI – Alert!!! Invalid IMEI

In order to continue the use of your Vodafone number in your existing handset,
• You would need to carry your handset with your valid Identity Proof to an authorized GII (Genuine IMEI Implant) centre, set up on Government Approved processes. They will implant a new genuine IMEI on your existing handset.
• You would need to pay a nominal fee of Rs.199 (all inclusive) and obtain a receipt for the same.
